Son of Adam, I asked you for water, but you did not give me water, so he says: “O Lord, how do I give you water as you are the Lord of the worlds?” He said: “Did you not know that My worshipper So-and-so asked you for water, but you did not give him water? My Lord, and how can I return to You and You are the Lord of the worlds? He said: Did you not know that My worshipper so-and-so is sick, and if I had visited him, I would have found that with me?

I heard the Messenger of Allah, may Allah’s prayers and peace be upon him, say: Your Lord marvels at a shepherd at the top of a mountain splinter who gives the call to prayer and prays, and Allah says: Look at this worshipper of mine who gives the call to prayer and stands up for prayer.

{O people, fear your Lord, for the earthquake of the Hour is a great thing} [Al-Hajj: 1] was revealed to the Prophet, may Allah’s prayers and peace be upon him, while he was on his way, so he raised his voice with it until his companions returned to him, then said: Do you know what day this is? On the day when Allah Almighty says to Adam, O Adam, rise up and resurrect the fire from every thousand nine hundred and ninety-nine, so that became greater for the Muslims, so the Prophet, may Allah’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: The beast, and with you there are two creatures that were never with anything except that they multiplied it: Gog and Magog and those who perished among the infidels of the jinn and men.

Allah Almighty said: Then We inherited the Book whom We chose from among Our worshippers, some of them are unjust to themselves, and among them are thrifty, and among them are those who preceded in good deeds, by Allah’s permission. Those whom Allah has spared by His mercy, they are the ones who say, Praise be to Allah, who has removed our grief. Indeed, our Lord is forgiving, thankful. It is He who made us the abode of resurrection out of His bounty, that no calamity shall touch us in it, nor shall we be touched therein by darkness.
