He says, “Yes.” He says, “I wanted you to do something easier than this, while you were in the loins of Adam, that you not associate anything with Me, so I refused unless you associate me.”

There was a covenant between Muawiyah and the people of the Romans, and he used to walk in their countries until when the covenant was over, he attacked them, so if a man was on an animal or on a horse, and he was saying Allah is the greatest loyalty, not treachery. There was a covenant between him and a people, so he does not make a covenant or tighten it until its time expires, or it is thrown out to them on an equal basis.

When the Messenger of Allah, may Allah’s prayers and peace be upon him, prayed the afternoon prayer, he whispered and whispered in some of their sayings, his lips moved as if he was speaking. It was said to him, “O Messenger of Allah, if you pray the afternoon prayer, you whisper.” He said: “One of the prophets was impressed by his nation.” He said, “Who will rise up for these?” Allah revealed to him that their choice was between that I take revenge on them and that their enemy should overpower them, so he chose vengeance, so death reigned over them, so he died of them on the day of seventy thousand, he said.
