The Islamic nation was at one time spread far and wide. It was
just one nation without frontiers and one did not face hindrances
between them. It was as Allah loved for it to be. Allah says:
“Indeed, this nation of yours is one nation,
and I am Your Lord,
therefore worship Me.”
The Prophets, verse 92
And in His saying:
“and upon them and on the ships you are carried.”
Believers, verse 22
Because the Islamic nation was spread far and wide it was not
surprising to find scientific specialists dispersed throughout the
nation rather than gathered in just one sector of the nation.
Leading scholars of the day were to be found in many provinces
