There were also members of the Arab tribes of Aws and Khazraj who said, when they
were invited to believe, that they believed. However they did not. To them it was simply a
matter of politics, some doubted the Message whilst others were hypocrites. It was
during this era that Allah sent down the second chapter of the Koran, the Cow chapter,
in which the undetectable, innermost status of the Jews and hypocrites was made
known to the Prophet and the Muslims.
“There are some people who say,
'We believe in Allah and the Last Day,'
yet they are not believers.
