instructed his followers not to offer the afternoon prayer until they reached the outlying
fortresses of the Krayzah. However, Sa‟ad Mu'adhs son who had been severely injured
during the battle was not to accompany them but to remain behind in a tent to be nursed

to kill Muslims, including himself, slipped from his mind. It was almost like old times and
together he and some of their elders climbed five flights of stairs to a room where they
