Ibn Mubarak said: “The true believer seeks excuses while the hypocrite seeks
the shortcomings.” As it is an obligation on you to restrain your tongue from

making mention of his shortcomings, so it also an obligation to restrain your heart
from misthinking, as misthinking is the backbiting of the heart, and that is also
