Allah, the Almighty also said: “…who spend out of what We have provided them.”
(Koran Ch. 2 verse 3)

And: “So spend of that with which We have provided you before death comes
upon any of you ..” (Koran Ch. 63 verse 10)

They maintained that these duties, far from being abrogated by the „verse of
Zakat‟ form part of the mutual obligations of all Muslims. In other words,
whenever a well to do Muslim encounters one who is in need, it is incumbent
upon him to relieve that need, over and above his payment of the obligatory
charity.

The correct legal opinion in this matter is that the relief of pressing need is a
collective duty, resting on the Community as a whole, since a Muslim cannot be
