You should take warning from the tragic fall of the Amir of Tus. It must have been made
plain to you that the expensive robes and glittering coffers of gold and silver could not
avoid the doom that overshadowed them. Instead the material contact of his soul was
not a gain but a loss, not a rise but a fall. This has been explained in the following
verses of the Holy Koran: "Woe to every backbiter, slanderer, who amasses wealth and
counts it, thinking his wealth will render him immortal! On the contrary! He shall be flung
to the Crusher. What shall teach you what the Crusher is? (It is) the kindled Fire of
Allah, which shall oversee the hearts, closed around them in extended columns." Koran,
Chapter 104.

Allah also speaks of the hoards of wealth on the Day of Resurrection: "His wealth will
not suffice him, neither what he has gained." Koran
