(c) They say that the world is everlasting, without beginning or end. But no Muslim has adopted any
such
view on this question.

On the further points-their denial of the attributes of Allah, their doctrine that Allah knows by
His essence
and not by a knowledge which is over and above His essence, and the like-their position
approximates to
that of the Mu‟tazilah; and the Mu‟tazilah must not be accounted infidels because of such matters.
In my
book, The Decisive Criterion for distinguishing Islam from Heresy, I have presented the
grounds for
regarding as corrupt the opinion of those who hastily pronounce a man an infidel if he deviates
from their
own system of doctrine.

5. POLITICS. All their discussion of this is based on considerations of worldly and governmental
advantage.
