cease to be human if his head no longer exists; but he will not cease to be a human being if one
of his
hands is lost through amputation.
Similarly both the exaltation and the praise are considered a part of prayer, although it is not
annulled
by their omission. Therefore acceptance with the heart stands in relation to belief as does the
head in
relation to the existence of man, since the one depends for its existence upon the other and ceases
to
exist when the other no longer is. The remaining good deeds are like the limbs of the body, some are
more important than the others.
The Prophet - the praise and peace be upon him - said: "A believer is no longer a believer when he
commits fornication." Furthermore the Companions held the same opinion as the Mu'tazilites
concerning
the fact that a person ceases to be a believer when he commits the sin of fornication. What this
really
means is that such a person is no longer a real believer possessing a complete and perfect belief,
of his
