He replied, 'Yes, he is from us,
with us Allah will seal as He opened with us ...'"
The meaning of this is that as Allah opened this Religion with the Holy Prophet, praise
and peace be upon him, so He will close it with Al Mahdi. Therefore, Al Mahdi is the seal
for the appearance of the Religion -- not the nation. The nation will remain after him, but
the Religion will not prevail after him more than it appeared during his time.
Question:
During Al Mahdi's time will the whole world adhere to the Religion of Islam, and will the
Day of Judgement start upon this as the Messenger (s.a) said, "If it was the last day of
life, Allah will prolong that day until Al Mahdi comes from my nation."
