Some of the statements made in our published works on the principles of
religious sciences have been objected to by a group of men whose
understanding does not grasp the sciences and whose insight does not
penetrate the fundamentals of the systems. They think that these statements are
taken from ancient philosophers, but the fact is that some of them are the
product of reflections I had independently (it is not improbable that one‟s foot

might fall in another‟s footprint) while others come from the revealed Scriptures,
and in the case of the majority, the essence though not the actual words are
found in the works of the mystics.
