63. And remember when

We took covenant with you to practice the Torah,
and raised above you the Mount:

'Take what We have given you with force, and
remember what is in it; in order that

you shall ward off evil and Hell.' 70

64. Then you turned away after that.

And if it was not for the bounty and mercy of Allah
towards you by postponing the punishment, you
would have been among the destroyed losers.
