177. It is not righteousness, that you turn your faces
to the East and to the West.
But righteousness is:
to believe in Allah, and the Last Day,
the angels, the Book, and the Prophets,
to give wealth, however cherished,
to kinsmen, and orphans,
the needy, the destitute traveler, beggars,
and to ransom the slave,
to perform the prayer,
to give the obligatory charity.
