The fourth explanation is the meaning known only to Allah, such as the secrets of His
Book, reference to Himself, His unseen knowledge which He kept for Himself all of which
we are unaware. It also includes the mystical letters that open several of the chapters of
the Koran and descriptive verses that bear the obscurities of striking similarities to the
creation such as:

"the Merciful willed to the Throne." 20:5.

It is an essential obligation upon every Muslim to believe it the way Allah meant without
imagining or investigating how, or its reality. The same obligation is applicable to His
characteristics, attributes and actions mentioned in the Koran that make some people
suppose there is a striking similarity to that of His creation for example "hand, right, right-
hand, feet, hearing, seeing, speech, self, laughter, pleasure and anger" and so forth.

In reference, that Allah has no location and the impossibility of describing Him with a
direction Imam Shafi‟i said that Allah is above, above what they imagine.
