Included are the reasons for the sending down of verses or chapters in the Koran, the
abrogated sciences, various modes of recitation, the stories of the prophets and bygone
nations, worldly events, the affairs on the Day of Judgement, the life in the tomb, the
Resurrection and Day of Recompense, Paradise and Hell etc.
The explanation of all such matters have their foundation based on having been heard
directly from the Prophet, praise and peace be upon him, via his authentic sayings, and
the forbidding of words without a strong proof.

The Traditional Sources of the Explanation:
The traditional sources for the explanation of the Koran are three.
1. The noble Koran is the most authentic and highest of all spiritual sources. When the
Koran speaks briefly in one verse, it gives details in another. Whenever a word needs
