@The ingratitude of the unbeliever 16:53-62
16:53 Whatever favor you have is from Allah. Whenever you are afflicted you groan to
Him.
16:54 When He removes your affliction then some of you set up associates to their Lord
16:55 that they may show ingratitude for what We gave them. So, take your pleasure, you
shall soon know.
16:56 They set aside a share of that which We have provided them for what they did not
know. By Allah, you shall be questioned about your forgeries!
16:57 They ascribe daughters to Allah exaltations to Him! But they themselves would have
what they desire!
16:58 When good news of the birth of a female is given to any of them, his face grows
dark and inwardly he chokes.
16:59 Because of the evil of the good news he hides himself from people, (pondering)
