THE CONVERSION OF HUSAYN, ABU IMRAN SON OF HUSAYN
Husayn, the father of Imran was highly respected elder of the tribe of Koraysh and
because of that the Korayshi hierarchy requested him to approach the Prophet, praise
and peace be upon him, to speak on their behalf and tell him that he was insulting their
gods. Husayn accepted so he and others from his tribe went to visit the Messenger of
Allah, praise and peace be upon him, at his home.
When they reached the home of the Messenger of Allah, praise and peace be upon him,
a lot of people had already gathered outside. As Husayn entered the home of the
Messenger of Allah, praise and peace be upon him, the Messenger of Allah, praise and
peace be upon him, requested those present to make room for their respected elder
Husayn to sit down. Husayn spoke to the Prophet, praise and peace be upon him,
saying, “News has reached me that you insult our gods whereas your father was a
devotee and an excellent man.” The Messenger of Allah, praise and peace be upon him,
