When news of the loss of Safwan's caravan reached Mecca, the Koraysh were more
determined than ever to take their revenge. Their determination was not just because of
their pecuniary hurt but their status among the Arab tribes was in jeopardy.
Consequently preparations of greater intensity were now set in motion stirred mostly by
Ikrimah, son of Abi Jahl, Safwan son of Umaiyah, Abu Sufyan son of Harb, and Abdullah
son of Abi Rabi'a. A hundred men from Tihamah and the tribe of Kinanah rallied to the
side of the Koraysh and so it was that the Koraysh army started to expand.

The Births of Al Hasan & Al Husain
The cooler months of winter in which Ramadan fell that year had arrived and on 15th of
Ramadan, Lady Fatima, endearingly known as "The Radiant Blossom" gave birth to a
son. Word was taken immediately to the Prophet (salla Allahu alihi wa sallam) of his
grandson's safe arrival whereupon he exalted Allah and made haste to visit his daughter
and named his grandson Al Hasan. As Prophet Muhammad (salla Allahu alihi wa sallam)
held the tiny babe in his arms for the first time, he gently whispered the words of the call
