“A man from Najd with disheveled hair came to the Messenger of
Allah, praise and peace be upon him. His voice reached our ears
but we could not understand what he was saying until he drew
nearer to the Messenger of Allah, praise and peace be upon him,
and then we understood that he was inquiring about Islam.

„There are five obligatory prayers during the day and night. The man
asked, „Is there more than that?‟ The Messenger of Allah, praise
and peace be upon him, replied, „No, unless you wish to offer
voluntary prayers. Then fasting during the month of Ramadan.‟ The
