ELEVEN UNITS OF PRAYER AFTER THE NIGHT PRAYER

“Between the night and dawn prayers the Messenger of Allah,
praise and peace be upon him, would offer eleven units of prayers,
ten of them offered in pairs, and the last one offered by itself.
When the caller to prayer made the call for the dawn prayer and it
had become light he would inform the Messenger of Allah, praise
and peace be upon him, of the time for prayer. He would then get up
and offer two brief units of prayer and then lie down on his right side
until the caller to prayer made the second call.”
