“Malik and some Companions were sitting with the Prophet, praise
and peace be upon him, when a man of the Bani Salamah came
and asked, „O Messenger of Allah, praise and peace be upon him, is
there any kindness I can do for my parents after their death?‟
He answered, „Yes, pray for them and ask for their forgiveness.
Fulfill their promises, be kind to their relatives and honor their
friends.‟"
Abu Daud with a chain up to Malik the son of Rabi'a Sa'idi who related this.
