Someone asked,
"„O Messenger of Allah, praise and peace be upon him, my wife is
about to leave on pilgrimage and I have enlisted in the Battle of such
and such.‟ He told him, „Go and offer the pilgrimage with your wife.‟"
Bukhari and Muslim with a chain up to ibn Abbas who related that he heard the
Messenger of Allah, praise and peace be upon him, say this.
