companions had been directed likewise, so I told my wife to go her
parents and remain with them until Allah determined the matter. The
wife of Hilal son of Umayyah went to the Prophet, praise and peace
be upon him, and said, „O Messenger of Allah, praise and peace be
upon him, Hilal the son of Umayyah is old and unable to look after
himself, he does not have a servant. Would it displease you if I were

to serve him?‟ He replied: „No, but he should not associate with you.‟
