DO NOT RAISE YOUR VOICE IN THE MOSQUE

|H 1748

“I (Saib, the son of Yazid) was in the mosque when someone hit me
with a pebble. I looked up and saw it was Omar son of Khattab. He
asked me, „Go and bring those two to me.‟ When I brought them to
him he asked, „Where are you from?‟ They replied, „We are from
Taif.‟ He told them, „Had you belonged to this the town I would have
punished you for raising your voices in the Mosque of the Prophet,
praise and peace be upon him.‟"
