“I, (Abdullah, the son of Sarijas) said to the Prophet, praise and
peace be upon him, „O Messenger of Allah, Allah has forgiven all
your shortcomings.‟ To this he replied, „And yours also.‟ Asim said, „I
asked Abdullah, Did the Messenger of Allah, praise and peace be
upon him, ask for forgiveness for you?' He replied, „Yes, and for you
also.‟ Then he recited the verse: Ask for forgiveness of your sins
