BE MODERATE IN PRAISING SOMEONE

“A man was mentioned to the Prophet, praise and peace be upon
him, and someone praised him. The Prophet, praise and peace be
upon him, said to the latter, „Woe to you, you have cut the throat of
your Companion.‟ He repeated this several times and then added, „If
you must praise someone, you should say: I think so and so is such
and such if you consider him to be so; because he is accountable to
Allah and no one can be declared as good by other than Allah.'"
