A SUPPLICATION OF PROPHET DAVID, peace be upon him

“Among the supplications of David was, 'O Allah, I beg of You Your
Love and the love of those who love You and such deeds which will
lead me to Your Love. O Allah, make Your Love dearer to me than
my soul and my family, and dearer than cold water.'"
Tirmidhi with a chain up to Abu Darda' who related that the Messenger of Allah,
praise and peace be upon him, said this.
