HUNGER OF THE PROPHET, AND HIS COMPANIONS

“It was either one day or night that the Prophet, praise and peace be
upon him, came out of his home and found Abu Bakr and Omar. He
asked them: „What has brought you out of your homes at this hour?‟
They replied, „Hunger, O Messenger of Allah, praise and peace be
upon him."
The Prophet, praise and peace be upon him, said: „By Him in whose
Hands is my life, the same reason that brought you out has brought
me out, so come.‟ They stood up and all three went to the house
