“He (Sa'ad, the son of Abi Wakkas) was with the Messenger of
Allah, praise and peace be upon him, when they passed a woman
who had a pile of date stones (or pebbles) in front of her which she
used to count the number of exaltations of Allah she made, and he
asked her, „Shall I inform you of a way which will be easier or better
for you than this?‟ Say, „Exalted is Allah in the number of those He
has created in the heaven. Exalted is Allah in the number of those
He has created in the earth. Exalted is Allah in the number of those
between the two. Exalted is Allah in the number of those He will
