“When a third of the night had passed the Prophet, praise and
peace be upon him, would arise and call out, „O people, remember
Allah, the first Call has been sounded, and after this comes the
second Call. Death has accompanied it with all that it comprises.‟
There was an occasion when Ubayy said to the Prophet, praise and
peace be upon him, „O Messenger of Allah, praise and peace be
upon him, I supplicate blessings for you repeatedly, how much time
shall I devote to you?‟ He replied, „As much as you would wish.‟
