CHARITY GIVEN ON BEHALF OF THE DECEASED

“A man said to the Prophet, praise and peace be upon him, „My
mother died suddenly. I believe that if she had the chance to speak
she would have given away something in charity. Would it be
counted as a meritorious act for her if I gave away something in
charity on her behalf?‟ He answered, „Yes.‟“
Bukhari and Muslim with a chain up to Lady Ayesha the wife of the Prophet, may
Allah be pleased with her, Mother of the believers related this.
