Bukhari with a chain up to Abu Hurairah who related that the Prophet, praise and
peace be upon him, said this.
REWARD FOR PATIENCE ON BEREAVEMENT

“One of the daughters of the Prophet, praise and peace be upon

him, sent a message asking him to come to her because her son
was on the verge of death. He sent the greetings to her with a
message saying, „Everything that Allah has given belongs to Him,
and whatsoever He takes back belongs to Him. There is nothing that
does not have a term fixed by Him. Therefore, be patient and hope
for His Favor and Mercy.‟
