The Messenger of Allah, may Allah praise and venerate, and give him peace,
was asked, “Are you aware of those who ask for praise upon you who are not
present and will come after you? What is their status?" He replied, “I hear the
praise of people who love me and I know them. As for the praising of other
than them, it is presented to me.”
