(Shaykh Darwish commented: "It is worth noting that, the word "prayer"
occurs in two different expressions. The first is in the obligatory prayer to
Allah, and the second is the prayer (supplication) on the Prophet, which is a
statement of praise of the Prophet when mentioned by Allah, and His angels,
and it is a supplication of praise made by believers.")
Allah tells us, "Allah, and His angels praise and venerate the Prophet.
Believers, praise and venerate him and pronounce peace upon him in
abundance" (33:56).
