and their wealth and you take their women to you bed (making them either wives or
servants), wouldn‟t you be prepared to exalt Him and proclaim His Oneness?” Nu‟man,
son of Shareek said, “You would have our support, O brother of the Koraysh.” Then the
Messenger of Allah recited:
O Prophet, We have sent you as a witness,
a bearer of glad tidings, and to bear warning;
a caller to Allah by His permission and as a light shedding lamp.
Give to the believers the glad tidings
that with Allah there is for them a great bounty. Ch.33:45

hold of the hand of Abu Bakr and turned to us both and said, „O Ali, how excellent are
