“Say (O Muhammad), 'Truth has come.

falsehood has vanished and shall return no more.'” Koran Ch.34:49

The Messenger of Allah, praise and peace be upon him, circumambulated Ka‟bah on his
camel. He was not in a state of ritual consecration (Ihram) at that point. Upon his
completion of the circumambulation, he called for Othman, son of Talha, the custodian of
Ka‟bah and received its key. Thereafter, the Messenger of Allah, praise and peace be
upon him, opened the door of Ka‟bah and found that images of Prophets Abraham and
Ishmael, peace be upon them, casting divining arrows had been place there together
with other idols. He rebuked the Koraysh for having done such a thing and ordered the
idols and images to be destroyed. Then, he entered the Sacred room and with his back
to the door devoutly prostrated, then walked around the room exalting Allah. Thereafter
he returned to the door of Ka‟bah and as he stood upon its elevated step he gazed in
thankfulness at the multitude of people who had gathered there and delivered the
following sermon:
