Every deed of the son of Adam is for him except fasting, and fasting is for me and I will reward for it, and what comes out of the mouth of a fasting person is better in Allah’s sight than the scent of musk.

Every good deed that the son of Adam does is rewarded with ten to seven hundred good deeds, Allah Almighty says: Except for fasting, it is for me and I will reward for it. His Lord, and the smell of the fasting person’s mouth when he leaves behind food is better in Allah’s sight than the scent of musk.

The letter lam when Allah, His Majesty, created Paradise, said to Gabriel: Go and look at it, so he went and looked at it, then came, and said: O Lord, by your glory, no one hears of it but enters it, then surrounded it with hardship, then he said: O Gabriel, go and look at it, so he went and looked at it. Then he came and said: O Lord, by Your Might, I was afraid that no one would enter it, so when Allah created the Fire, He said: O Gabriel, go and look at it. So he went and looked at it, then came and said: O Lord, by Your Might, no one hears of it and enters it, so he surrounded it with desires and then said: O Gabriel. Go and wait for it, and he said: O Lord, by Your glory, I was afraid that no one would remain but would enter it.
