(Ubadah bin Ash-Shoomit) he mentioned the hadith of the Messenger of Allah about the prohibition of Riba, so Mu'awiyah opposed it with his opinion. Ubadah also said: I conveyed to you the hadith of the Messenger of Allah, then you spoke to me about my opinion. I will no longer live in a land over which you have power. I will convey to you the hadith of the Messenger of Allah - Peace and blessing be upon him - even if Mu'awiyah doesn't like or hate me no matter I will not be with his army in one dark night though.

(Abud Dardaa`) it was narrated that he came angry with his family and he was asked, he replied: By Allah, I do not recognize in them a matter/command from the (lifestyle of the Prophet) of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) unless they are still praying in congregation.

You were the ones who said this and that [i.e. they will keep fasting, they will pray all night, and so on]. By Allah, I am the most fearful of Allah among you and the most pious among you, but I fast and I also break my fast, I pray and I sleep, I also marry women. Whoever hates my lifestyle of the Prophet, then he is not from my (group).

What's with the state of a group of people who won't do the things I do? By Allah, I am the most understanding of Allah among them and the most fearful of Him among them.
