(He said to Fatimah when he asked for a maid and complained to her about household chores:) You did not find him with us. Shall I show you something better for you than a servant, you glorify (say subhanallah) thirty-three times, you tahmid (say Alhamdulillah) thirty-three times, and you recite the takbir (say Allahu Akbar) thirty-four times until you take your sleeping position.

I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from His wrath and the worst of His servants and from the whispers of the devils and from them coming to me. - If any one of you is surprised from his sleep then let him say: I seek refuge in Allah's perfect words from His wrath, His torment. (Abdulloh bin Umar dictated it to his sons who had reached puberty and those who were not yet mature, wrote it down on a sheet and then put it around his neck).
