"This Thaa'uun disease is a warning from Allah that was inflicted on the people before you or on the Children of Israel. So if the plague is spreading in the country where you are, do not go out and run from it. And if the disease is contagious in a country, do not enter to that land.

from Abu Hurairah radiallahu 'anhu said; When Khaibar was conquered, the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam was given a gift of a goat in which poison was placed. So the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Gather before me the people who are here from among the Jews"". So they gathered in front of him and he said: "I ask you one thing, are you going to justify me on a matter?". They answered; ""Yes"". The Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam asked them: "Who are your parents?". They answered; ""So and so"". He said: "You are lying. The truth is your parents are so-and-so"". They said; ""You are right"". Then he asked again: "Are you going to justify me about a matter that I will ask?". They answered; "Yes, O Abu Al Qasim. Had we lied, you would have known our lies as you would have known our parents." He asked: "Who are the inhabitants of hell?". They answered; "We will be in it for a while then you (Muslims) will accompany you into it"". The Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Remain in it disgracefully. By Allah, we will not follow you into it forever." Then he asked again: "Are you going to justify me about a matter that I am about to ask?". They answered; ""Yes, O Abu Al Qasim"". He asked: "Have you put poison in this goat?". They answered; ""Yes"". He asked again: ""What prompted you to do that?". They answered; "We just want to test If you lie (claiming to be a Prophet) we can rest from you. And if you really are a prophet then the poison will not be able to do you any harm.""."

Had the Jews wished for death then surely they would have died and seen his seat in Hell. If those who curse the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu 'alayhi wa sallam) come out, they will return home without getting wealth or family."
