praise and peace be upon him, was injured.
The Koraysh thought that the Prophet, praise and peace be upon him, had been killed
however, Abu Sufyan, their leader would not believe it until he saw his body, and so
they searched for him but to no avail. The Koraysh weren't the only ones to think he was
dead, Muslims heard the rumors and did not know what to think, and it wasn't long
before the news reached Medina.
Al Hamdulillah, the Prophet, was not critically hurt, although he received a violent blow
upon his helmet that the helmet's links to dig deep into his cheeks and cause his face to
bleed, so he and his close companions climbed the mountain to a safer place to rest.
When Lady Fatima heard the rumor she left Medina immediately and caught up with the
Prophet's party at the entrance of a valley, she was so happy and relieved to see her
father alive and thanked Allah for his safety.
Ali, in the meantime had gone in search of water but there was none to be found, only a
stagnant pool of water remained. He scooped up some of the water and brought it back
