226. For those who swear a wait
of four months from their women
abstaining from intercourse.

If they revert,

Allah is All-forgiving, All-compassionate. 233

227. But if they resolve on divorce,

surely Allah is All-hearing, All-knowing. 234

228. Divorced women shall wait by themselves for
three periods cycles.

And it is not lawful for them to conceal what
Allah has created in their wombs;

if they believe in Allah and the Last Day.
