left them for fifteen nights. After the fifteen nights had elapsed, they came before the
Messenger of Allah, praise and peace be upon him, who said, “Go to your governor and
inform him that this night my Lord has killed his lord (Chosroes).” They returned to
Yemen and informed him. Badhan then asked if they had taken note of that night (the
date), whereupon they replied that they had. Then, he asked them about the Prophet‟s
disposition and they replied, “We have not seen a king as blessed as he. He walks about
freely without fear, he dresses very simply, has no bodyguards and no one raises their
voice before him.” Diyah mentioned that a letter (from Sherway reached the governor) a
while later that Chosroes had been killed on the exact night the Messenger of Allah,
praise and peace be upon him, had mentioned.
May Allah be pleased with all the Companions.
