in haste to get ready.

Very soon after, the believers gathered together outside the Mosque. As they lined up
the Prophet (salla Allahu alihi wa sallam) gazed upon the severely wounded tribe of
Salimah. When he saw their loyalty and willingness to obey him despite their wounds, he

The March to Hamra Al Asad

The unbelievers had camped at Rawha, which lies some distance outside Medina, to
rest and tend their wounded.

Meanwhile, on Sunday 8ᵗʰ Shawwal 3H, the Prophet and his followers had reached
Hamra Al-Asad, a place which lies about eight miles distance from Medina and struck
camp. It was while he was there that Ma’bab, the son of Abi Ma’bab, the chieftain of the
tribe of Khuza’ah arrived and went directly to the Prophet (salla Allahu alihi wa sallam)
and embraced Islam.
