Prophet (salla Allahu alihi wa sallam) climbed down into her grave. She died two months
after Abu Talib, the uncle of the Prophet and the year became known as the Year of
Sorrow. The Holy Prophet (salla Allahu alihi wa sallam) did not marry another until after
her death.
Lady Khadijah was the first to believe in the message Allah entrusted to him. With the
exception of Abraham, all his sons and daughters were from this marriage.
Lady Sawdah daughter of Zam’ah.
Lady Sawdah was the first lady to marry the Prophet, (salla Allahu alihi was sallam) after
the death of Lady Khadijah. She was about thirty years old when he married her in the
month of Shawwal in the 10th year of his prophethood and she died in 53H.
Lady Ayesha, daughter of Abu Bakr Al Siddiq
Lady Ayesha was the only virgin wife of the Prophet (salla Allahu alihi wa sallam), his
other wives were previously married. His marriage to her was contracted in Shawwal two
