Upon hearing this Omar said that as he stood before the Messenger of Allah, praise and
peace be upon him, he covered his head in embarrassment.

The son of Abi Husayn narrates that when the Messenger of Allah, praise and peace be
upon him opened Mecca he entered the Ka‟bah and when he came out, he placed his
hands on its door frames and said (to the people gathered there) “What have you people
to say?” Suhayl, son of Amr said, "You will treat us as a kind kinsman or as a merciful
brother would." The Messenger of Allah, praise and peace be upon him, said, “I shall say
as my brother Joseph said:
“He (Joseph) replied, 'Let no reproach be on you this day.
Allah will forgive you He is the Most Merciful of the merciful.”
