In another narration Dimad said to the Prophet, praise and peace be upon him, “Repeat
those words to me because they reach the depths of the ocean in eloquence.”
Years later when some Muslim mujahdeen happened to pass by the tribe of Dimad their
leader asked those with him, “Has anyone of you taken something from these people?”
One replied, “Yes, I have their water-jug.” Their leader told him, “Return it to them
because they are the people of Dimad.”
Abdur Rahman Adawi said that Dimad said, “I went to Mecca to perform Umrah and was
sitting with Khalaf when Abu Jahl said, “This man has caused disunity among us. He
makes us look foolish and claims that our forefathers were misguided!” Umayyah
commented, “There is no doubt that this man is indeed mad!” I took leave of the
gathering and went to look for the Messenger of Allah, praise and peace be upon him,
saying to myself, "Indeed, I am able to cure people affected with evil spirits." I searched
all day but was unable to find him. The next day I resumed my search for the Messenger
