that they neither await the coming of the last Prophet of Allah (salla Allahu alihi
wa
sallam) nor even speak of it.

Salman is Sold into Slavery

Salman decided to remain in „Amuuriyah after the death of the abbot. Then, one day a
caravan of Arabs from the tribe of Kalb passed by and Salman asked them to take him
with them in return for his goats and cattle. The deal was struck and Salman left
for
Arabia with the caravan.

When the traders reached Waadil Quroo the caravaners overcame Salman and sold him
into slavery to a Jew. It was there that he saw many date palms, and hoped by the
blessing of Allah this would be the place the monk had described.

Salman worked in the fields for a while then a Jew from the tribe of Krayzah in Waadil
Quroo, Yathrib (Medina) came and his master sold Salman to him. It was during that
time that Allah permitted the Messenger of Allah, salla Allahu alihi wa sallam, to migrate
