The Overheard Conversation

One day when as Salman worked for his masters in the date palm groves of Quba,
which lies a little way out of Medina, he overheard a Jew in conversation say, “May Allah

man from Mecca who claims to be a prophet!” Hastily Salman climbed down from the
palm tree and asked, “What is this, what has happened?” His master beat him severely
saying, “What business is it of yours, go back to your work!”
